Two people were stabbed just minutes apart in Anaheim Thursday night, police said.

Officers responded to a 32-year-old man who had been stabbed in the 1100 block of West Ball Road just outside of Disneyland at 7:59 p.m.

Two minutes later, 911 dispatchers received a second call regarding a 30-year-old woman who had been stabbed in 1200 Block of Walnut Street in front of a Holiday Inn, according to Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.

Both were transported to a local hospital and remained in critical condition on Friday, according to Wyatt.

Authorities were unsure whether the crimes were related but said they believed the injuries were inflicted by a third party and not the result of an altercation.

The suspect was preliminarily described as a Hispanic male, weighing around 230 pounds and wearing jeans and a hooded sweatshirt. He was last seen southbound on Walnut Street, according to police.

Ball Road was temporarily shut down between Disneyland Drive and Walnut Street during the investigation.
