Two people were detained Saturday morning after Los Angeles police responded to a report of a burglary at a marijuana dispensary in the Mid-City area, officials said.
Officers went to the 5600 block of West Pico Boulevard about 4:30 a.m. after a burglar alarm was activated at the business, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said.
A perimeter was set up and a search for the possible burglars was launched, assisted by a police helicopter.
One person was taken into custody within about 30 minutes; the second person was detained shortly before 7 a.m, the LAPD said.
No other information was immediately available.
The burglary investigation in the area of Pico Blvd and Spaulding Ave is slowly coming to a conclusion and streets are being reopened.
