A Perris middle school teacher was in jail Wednesday after investigators allegedly found child pornography at his house following accusations he took inappropriate pictures of female students.

Eric Michael Samuel, 37, was arrested Tuesday at his home in Moreno Valley.

A science teacher at Lakeside Middle School in Perris, Samuel was taken into custody after campus administrators told police that he had taken photos of girls’ chests and buttocks, according to a news release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

A search of the teacher’s home in the 17000 block of Andalusian Court found videos and images on containing child pornography on Samuel’s computers, according to the sheriff’s department. Weapons were also found at the home, authorities said.

Samuel was booked into South West Detention Center in Murrieta on charges of child annoying and possession of child pornography. Bail was set at $5,000.

He is due in court Oct. 30, according to online county inmate records.
