Authorities have released surveillance video as they asked for the public’s help in locating those responsible for injuring a 63-year-old man in an apparent unprovoked assault, the Pasadena Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday.

The victim was walking with a cane on Lake Avenue north of East Claremont Street on the afternoon of Oct. 13, 2015, when a man approached him and shoved him to the ground “for no apparent reason,” the release stated.

The victim suffered a broken elbow and collarbone, police officials said in the release.

As he was lying on the ground, the assailant and the two other men he was with at the time ran west on Claremont Street to an awaiting car and then drove off.

Police said they were search for three black men, all approximately 25- to 27-years-old, in connection with the incident.

The man who assaulted the victim was about 6 feet 1 inches tall, weighing approximately 175 pounds, and clean shaven, according to the release. He was seen wearing a blue jersey with a red collar and white lettering on the front, blue pants and a blue baseball cap.

A second wanted man was wearing a white T-shirt and red shorts, police said, adding that they had no further description of him.

The third man was described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall, about 150 pounds, with short, twisted dreadlocks, and multiple tattoos on his stomach and arms, the news release stated. He wore gray cut-off sweatpants and his hands were wrapped in white tape.

They got away in a silver car, possibly a Toyota Camry. The vehicle was captured on a surveillance video in a residential neighborhood.

Anyone with information has been asked to call Pasadena police Detective David Duran at 626-744-7113. After hours, calls should be directed to the non-emergency number, which is 626-744-4241.
