Santa Anita Park hosted its annual spring carnival and barbecue championship over the weekend.

The Winner’s Circle BBQ Championship returned to the Arcadia racetrack for its ninth year.

More than a dozen barbecue masters returned to the infield at Santa Anita to compete for this year’s Choice Championship title.

For the non-carnivores, or for anyone looking for a bit of a thrill, the carnival is taking place at the park throughout the month of April.
