Authorities located an 11-year-old girl three days after she ran away from a group home in Rosemead, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Officials asked the public’s help finding Italy Ann Johnson after she was reported missing on Sunday. At around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies found her unharmed.
The Sheriff’s Department said Johnson’s family in South Los Angeles were very concerned.
Investigators visited her friend’s home in Palmdale but did not find her there, the Los Angeles Times reported. The friend, who was just released from the group home, wasn’t aware of the missing girl’s whereabouts.
Authorities did not specify where Johnson was found.
