A 15-year-old mother and her 1-year-old son whose disappearance was described as “critical” in an alert from the Los Angeles Police Department were both found safe Friday evening.

Alexus Alize Amos and Damir Amos were last seen about 2 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of West 73rd Street in the Florence neighborhood of South Los Angeles, the Police Department stated in the alert.

Alexus Amos and her son went to visit a friend, but have not been in contact with family members, who have become extremely concerned for their well being, the Police Department stated.

Late Friday afternoon, police said mother and son were “located in the Los Angeles area in good health” and were re-united with their family.
