An investigation was underway Sunday in Hollywood, after two men were shot outside a popular restaurant, authorities said.

Gunfire rang out around 4:20 a.m. in front of Bossa Nova located at 7181 West Sunset Blvd, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Witnesses told KTLA 5 the trouble started when a fight broke out and someone pulled out a gun.

Two men suffered gunshot wounds and were taken to area hospitals. Both were expected to survive, police said.

Sunset Boulevard was closed at La Brea Ave. for about four hours, while police investigated the shooting.

Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to contact the LAPD.
