The Colby Fire in Glendora prompted the South Coast Air Quality Management District to issue a smoke advisory Thursday urging those with respiratory illnesses to remain indoors.

“Depending on fire and weather conditions, smoke impacts and unhealthy air quality are most likely to occur in portions of the east and south San Gabriel Valley areas and the Pomona/Walnut Valley area,” according to a news release from the agency.

Smoke could also be an issue for those living downwind from the fire, including southeast and south central L.A. County, the agency said.
