Illegal street racing and street takeovers have become a growing problem in Southern California. On Friday, local leaders gathered outside a AAA office in Northridge to issue a new warning for Halloween weekend. 

“Valley residents are fed up with illegal sideshows, they are fed up with street racing, they are fed up with these takeovers that are putting our kids at risk,” said Assemblyman Jesse Gabriel.
