Authorities were searching Tuesday for a second Special Olympics athlete from the Ivory Coast who disappeared the night before he was due to fly home, according to the Inglewood Police Department.

Abidjan Ouattara, 24, was last seen around 11 p.m. Monday at the Adventurer Hotel in the 4200 block of West Century Boulevard where he was staying, according to a news release from police.

His coach reported him missing Tuesday morning after discovering Ouattara walked away from the hotel and never returned, the release stated.

Ouattara speaks only French and has a “physical impairment to his left hand and forearm,” police said.

He was last seen wearing a white athletic jacket with a blue or orange T-shirt and white pants.

A second member of the Ivory Coast team disappeared from Los Angeles International Airport on Monday morning. The 15-year-old was later found in Inglewood.

Anyone with information on Ouattara’s whereabouts was asked to call Inglewood police at 310-412-5240.
