A 23-year-old man police say was stalking Natalie Portman was arrested outside the actress’ Los Feliz home Tuesday.

Police responded to the actress’ home about 3:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call requesting assistance.

Officers arrested Gregory Edward Pearce on suspicion of violating a restraining order, issued by a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge in March, to stay away from the Academy Award-winning actress. He is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail, according to Los Angeles County jail records.

Portman requested the stay-away order after Pearce showed up outside her house on Jan. 31 and stood there for 20 minutes trying to open the gate. He didn’t respond when someone inside the house asked him over an intercom why he was there, so Portman called police, according to the actress’ restraining order request filed in court.
