Tow-Truck Driver Responding to AAA Call Fatally Stabbed in Pico Rivera

Sheriff’s deputies were investigating the fatal stabbing of a tow-truck driver who was attacked while responding to a call from a AAA customer in Pico Rivera on Tuesday evening.

The stabbing occurred around 4:40 p.m. in the 8400 block of Buhman Avenue, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

When deputies arrived, they found the victim lying near the front door of a home “bleeding profusely,” the release stated.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

After helping the AAA customer with her problem, the victim was talking to the member in the street in front of her home, according to release.

During their conversation, a man on a bicycle rode up and stabbed the victim in the neck, the release stated. The suspect then rode away.

The victim ran down the street and collapsed in front of another home, according to sheriff’s investigators.

No other information was released.
