Sam Fischer-Austin, a U.S. Army nurse who helped save the life of two young Afghan children injured in war, was reunited with the youngsters after they received surgery at Shriners Hospital for Children Los Angeles. Shah Bibi Tarakhail, 8, will soon return to Afghanistan. The Children of War Foundation has been raising funds to get her family relocated to a safer place in the country; to help, go to the foundation’s website.
