A dispute turned violent Tuesday when a woman said she was hit by another woman who also yelled racial slurs at her during an incident in an Eagle Rock parking lot that was partially captured on cellphone video.

Quiggle Ignacio, a registered nurse, told KTLA on Wednesday that she was eating in her parked car at Eagle Rock Plaza when the incident began.

“All of a sudden there was a lady that was pushing her shopping cart, grocery cart, and the baby was on the grocery cart, and she hit my car,” Ignacio said.

She initially decided to ignore the tap, but then the woman started yelling at her.

Ignacio then got out of her vehicle and confronted the woman and a man with her.

“’Why are you yelling at me, I should be the one yelling at you because you hit my car,’” she recalled telling them. “Then they started saying racial things.”

Ignacio said they called her “stupid,” and told her to “go back to your country.”

At that point, Ignacio decided to take out her cellphone; she began recording in an effort to try and get the woman’s license plate number.

In the video, Ignacio can be heard asking the woman why she was yelling at her while the woman marched over to her.

The woman then hit her multiple times on her face and head before the man intervened, giving her time to get away, according to Ignacio.

She was unable to get the vehicle’s license plate number, but she said she filed a report with the Los Angeles Police Department.
