Venice High School was temporarily locked down Friday morning following reports of a weapon on campus.

Los Angeles Unified School District police were called to the school located at 13000 Venice Boulevard around 10 a.m., Sgt. Perez confirmed to KTLA.

As of 11:50 a.m., the school was considered safe and the lockdown had been lifted, Perez confirmed.

Investigators did not find a weapon and no arrests were made.
