A portion of the westbound 210 Freeway in Pasadena will be closed over the weekend starting Friday night, according to Caltrans.
The highway will be closed between Lake Avenue on the east end and Mountain Street on the north end, after the 134 splits off to the west, from 10 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday for a $148.5 million pavement rehabilitation project.
The eastbound connection from the 134 Freeway to the westbound 210 will also be shut down during the 55-hour closure.
Off-ramps from the westbound 210 Freeway at Marengo Avenue and Mountain Street, and the Walnut Street on-ramp, will need to be closed throughout the weekend as well, Caltrans said.
The same section will be closed on July 29 through Aug. 1, according to Caltrans.
Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to plan ahead, use other routes or use public transit.
Motorists can check traffic conditions by calling 511 or visiting quickmap.dot.ca.gov.
