An accidental crash involving a FedEx vehicle and a pickup truck on a residential street in Winnetka left a man dead on Wednesday morning, officials said.

The crash happened around 6:50 a.m. in the 7000 block of Corbin Avenue, near Sherman Way, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A man parked along the curb in his pickup truck began to make a U-turn and apparently failed to see a FedEx vehicle traveling on his side of the street, Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. McElween told KTLA.

The FedEx truck slammed onto the driver side of the pickup and ended up in the front yard of a home, McElween said.

The pickup truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Fire Department.

The FedEx driver suffered minor injuries, according to LAPD.

The agency did not release the names of those involved.

No other injuries were reported.
