A 23-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a February robbery attempt and shootout that left a security guard dead at a marijuana dispensary in San Bernardino, authorities announced Monday.

Tomeise Ray, 23, of Los Angeles, was taken into custody Friday, the San Bernardino Police Department said in a news release. She was described as the second suspect in the case. Los Angeles resident Curtis Jackson, 21, was arrested on April 23.
The arrests stem from a Feb. 16 incident at a pot dispensary, in the 2800 block of Rialto Avenue, that police said was illegally operated.
After two armed men entered the business about 10 p.m., one of them forced his way into a back room and opened fire on security guard Anthony Victor Pineda, according to the Police Department’s initial account of the crime.
Pineda, a 25-year-old resident of Rowland Heights, returned fire and was struck at least once in the exchange, investigators said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
One of the suspects was wounded in the shootout, police said, and a large pool of blood was found outside the business.
It was unclear if any cash or marijuana was taken in the incident.
Responding officers had to force their way into the dispensary, where people who identified themselves as “volunteers” were at first uncooperative with the investigation, said police Lt. Rich Lawhead.
