A search was underway Monday for the gunman involved in a double shooting in Pasadena late Sunday night.

Police were called to the 100 block of West Washington Boulevard at about 11:41 p.m., said Lt. Jesse Carrillo with the Pasadena Police Department.
Police arrived to find a man and a woman with gunshot wounds, Carrillo said.
The female victim was critically wounded and taken to a local hospital, Carrillo said.
The man was in stable condition following the shooting, Carrillo said.
The gunman fled the scene and police were attempting to locate witnesses, Carrillo said.
No description of the shooter was immediately available.
The public was asked to avoid the area on West Washington due to police activity, the Police Department stated in news advisory.
