Woman Fatally Stabs Man in Buena Park After She Says He Attacked Her: Police

A woman who fatally stabbed a 32-year-old man in Buena Park on Monday told officers he had attacked her, police said.

Officers responded about 1:50 a.m. to a report of a domestic violence incident in the 5800 block of Burnham Avenue and found the man with a stab wound, according to a Buena Park Police Department news release.

The man was rushed to UCI Medical Center where he died a short time later. His name has not yet been released.

Officers located a woman at the scene who told them that she stabbed him after he attacked her, the release stated.

She also sustained injuries in the incident and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Her condition was not immediately provided.

The woman was not taken into custody pending further investigation of the fatal stabbing, according to police.

No additional information was released.
