HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) — A woman was hit and pinned under a Metro train in Hollywood Friday morning.

It happened at the Red Line station at Western and Hollywood.

Emergency rescue crews were able to free the woman from the train within twenty minutes of arriving at the scene.

The LAFD told KTLA a surveillance camera shows the woman was standing by herself next to the train, but it’s still unclear if the woman fell or jumped.

The woman is in critical condition with chest trauma, broken ribs and a possible punctured lung among other injuries.

She is expected to survive.
