A woman was hospitalized early Tuesday after a man stabbed her in the face and took her purse in SIlver Lake, LAPD officials said.
The victim was walking near Sunset Boulevard and Parkman Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. when the stabbing and theft occurred, according to Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Melvin Gamble.
She was transported to County USC Medical Center in unknown condition, Gamble said.
Police described her attacker as a man in his 30s, but had no further description of him.
No additional information was immediately released.
