GLENDALE — A car slammed through the front of a battery in Glendale Thursday afternoon, killing a man who stopped for coffee.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. at Oledina’s Cake Factory in the 1100 block of East Broadway.

The 55-year old victim, who was not immediately identified, was pinned to the counter by the vehicle.
