Man Sought in Armed Robbery at Camarillo Bank

A search was underway Tuesday for a man who allegedly used a handgun to rob a bank in Camarillo, authorities said.

The robber brandished the gun at employees after entering the Rabobank located at 470 Arneill Road at about 8 a.m. on Monday, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.

He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber was described as a white male, between 50 to 60 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a heavy build, the sheriff’s department announced in a news release.

he was wearing a baseball style cap, black jacket, black gloves, white shirt, white pants, black tennis shoes, and he was in possession of a dark colored backpack, according to the department.

Ventura County Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and criminal complaint against persons responsible for crimes such as this one, according to the release.
