Many families spent Easter at local parks although most regional parks raised their prices.

Ten of the 15 regional parks in the area raised prices from $5 to $7 for the holiday, but the cost increase and long lines to enter the Irvine Regional Park didn’t seem to slow down crowds.

“It’s worth it, you know what I’m saying, we spend the whole day right here with all of the family,” park visitor Augustine Silva said.

Erin Myers reports live from Irvine Regional Park for the KTLA 5 News at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, 2014.
