LOS ANGELES (KTLA) — A federal agent who was the subject of a missing persons search in Silver Lake on Wednesday was found safe, authorities said.
A U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) agent went missing early Wednesday morning.

His car was left near the Silver Lake Boulevard exit on the northbound 101 Freeway.
A search was underway Wednesday evening for an officer with ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) division, spokeswoman Virginia Kice confirmed.
LAPD officers were called in around 6:30 p.m. to assist in the search in the Silver Lake area, police said.
The search was called off late Wednesday night after authorities finally got in touch with the agent.
Kice issued another statement indicating that the incident may have been the result of a miscommunication.
The agent had been picked up by a fellow ERO employee after experiencing vehicle problems overnight, Kice said.
No foul play was suspected.
