A photo showing an 80-year-old Texas man taking his adopted stray dogs for a ride on a mini train he built himself has gone viral on Facebook.

Eugine Bostick and his brother care for rescue dogs in Fort Worth, Texas, BuzzFeed reported. Bostick takes the canines out each morning for train rides.

According to BuzzFeed, the idea started after the pair began taking in and caring for dogs who were at the end of their lives.

“One day I was out and I seen this guy with a tractor who attached these carts to pull rocks. I thought, ‘Dang, that would do for a dog train.’ I’m a pretty good welder, so I took these plastic barrels with holes cut in them, and put wheels under them and tied them together,” Bostick told The Dodo.

He then attached the creation to his tractor, which he uses to drive the dogs around. The train features a car for each pup, and can hold up to eight dogs, a viral photograph of the canine train showed.

The picture, posted by user Tiffany Johnson, has been shared more than 46,000 times on Facebook since Sept. 17.

A video uploaded to YouTube of the dog train has also been viewed more than 115,000 times as of Wednesday morning.

According to Bostick, the dogs get really excited about going on the train. He added he will keep doing it for as long as he can.

A GoFundMe fundraiser page has been created by Johnson to help Bostick care for the animals.

She explained in the post why she decided to raise money for him.

“This sweet man rescues dogs from the streets, by taking him into his home, feeding them, taking them to the vet, and loving them!” she wrote.  “He has been giving to these dogs for so many years so let’s give back to him by helping him with the expenses it requires to take care of these fabulous furry babies!!!”
