Actor and performer Meat Loaf collapsed on stage Thursday night during a concert in Canada, video posted on social media showed.
Concert-goer Britt Brewer described the incident to Edmonton Journal as “a little surreal.”
“He had just finished “Bat Out of Hell,” … and it looked at first like he was just being theatrical and lying down on the stage,” she told the newspaper.
Meat Loaf, who was born Marvin Lee Aday, was performing at the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton when he collapsed around 9:37 p.m. local time.
Fans were asked to leave the venue as EMS arrived on the scene.
A radio station in Edmonton later reported the 68-year-old singer “fainted” and was “revived” before being transported to a local hospital.
His condition remained unknown at this time.
Meat Loaf canceled a show in Calgary earlier this week due to “illness,” according to his representatives.
