JERUSALEM (KTLA) — President Obama was heckled during a 45-minute speech to Israeli college students on Thursday.

Some in the audience listened quietly as Obama challenged the crowd to take risks and see the world through the perspective of the Palestinians.

He argued the case for restarting the peace process, and working toward an independent Palestinian state and Israel living side by side.

A heckler briefly disrupted the president’s remarks, shouting angrily in Hebrew, before security officials led him away.

Obama joked with the crowd that the outburst was part of the ‘lively’ debate he had encouraged.
