BELL GARDENS, Calif. (KTLA) — All lanes of the northbound Freeway have been reopened, hours after a big rig hauling hot asphalt overturned.

The crash happened just after 8:30 p.m. Monday north of Firestone Boulevard in Bell Gardens.

The truck and several other vehicles were involved in the crash, which left the big rig in flames.

At least three minor injuries were reported. The injured were taken to area hospitals, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Crews were at the scene overnight and Tuesday morning cleaning up the spilled asphalt.

The two left lanes of the northbound 710 were reopened around 6 a.m. Tuesday, and all lanes were open again as of 9 a.m.

As an alternate to the 710, you can take the 105 west to the 110 north. You can also use Atlantic to the west or Eastern to the east.
