A lockdown was lifted Friday morning at Maclay Middle school in Pacoima following a prank call reporting a man with a gun, police said.
No threat was found during a search of the campus, according to the Los Angeles School Police Department’s official Twitter account.
It was unclear what time the call was made. The lockdown was announced shortly before 9 a.m., and was ordered as a precaution while officers responded to the school, at 12540 Pierce Avenue (map), according to authorities.
Classes continued as police conducted the search, and the campus resumed normal operations shortly before 10 a.m., the LASPD said.
