SANTA ANA, Calif. (KTLA) — The Santa Ana Police Department Friday released a sketch and looked to the public for help in finding a man wanted for questioning in connection with a child kidnapping case.

A 13-year-old girl was walking to school on January 24 in the 2700 block of West Segerstrom when a man pulled up next to her, exited his vehicle, and abducted her, according to police.

The man then made a series of sexually explicit comments and asked the girl to commit lewd acts, police said.

When the girl refused, the man dropped her off in the parking lot of McFadden Intermediate School.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic, 35-45 years old, with a heavy build, black receding hairline and brown eyes.

They say he was wearing silver-rimmed glasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt and beige shorts.

He spoke both English and Spanish.

Anyone with information was asked to either call their anonymous tip line at 1-855-TIP-OCCS (1-855-847-6227) or text “OCCS” plus your tip to 274637 (CRIMES).
