Canada’s immigration website crashed on election night, as Donald Trump extended his projected lead over Hillary Clinton in the Electoral College.
The website was unavailable to view as of 8:20 p.m. PST Tuesday.
The Canadian immigration site — https://t.co/ndxYr5ZaDu — is currently down, presumably under the strain of unprecedented demand.

The information website for those hoping to move to Canada read, “500 – Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.”
According to the Telegraph, searches for the word “emigrate” also spiked during the election.
