Rescuers Save Dolphin Caught in Fishing Line off San Diego

LA JOLLA, Calif. (KTLA) — Marine biologists from Sea World and San Diego lifeguards rescued a dolphin entangled in fishing line off the coast of Orange County.

A person who was kayaking in the area came across the distressed dolphin and called authorities.

Cell phone video showed rescuers successfully freeing the dolphin from the line.

Biologists said the dolphin would have likely died without their help.
