blog picA late season storm will impact California on Friday and Saturday. Early Friday morning, west winds increase over the mountains and deserts. By Friday evening, hazardous sea conditions are also expected. The heaviest precipitation is expected Friday night. Showers will taper off on Saturday morning. Precipitation totals will be highly terrain dependent, with most coastal and valley locations seeing less than 0.15  of an inch, while favored locations along the coastal mountain slopes may see up to 0.75 of an inch. The snow level will fall to around 4500 feet Friday night with 1-3 inches of snow on the highest peaks. The trough of low pressure exits by Sunday. It’ll be dry and much warmer the upcoming work week.
