SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTLA) – What may have seemed like a cool idea, landed Urban Outfitters in hot water with California Attorney General Kamala Harris on Friday.

Harris joined 22 other state attorneys general in criticizing the hipster clothing chain for selling a line of products made to look like prescription pill bottles.

Among the controversial products was a coffee cup with the words “DRINK ONE MUG BY MOUTH, REPEAT UNTIL AWAKE AND ALERT” written on the front.

The new line also included shot glasses and flasks designed to resemble prescription bottles.

Harris and other state leaders accused the retailer of “undermining” the fight against prescription drug abuse.

In a letter to Urban Outfitters CEO and Chairman Richard A Hayne, they asked the retailer to remove the products from stores.
