A weak low pressure system will impact the region through Thursday morning. This system will bring showers over and west of the mountains with light snow above 6000 feet. Precipitation totals have been generally a tenth of an inch or less west of the mountains, with a quarter to thirty-five hundredths of an inch expected for the mountains. Strong gusty west winds will continue over the mountains and deserts before decreasing on Thursday. Wind gusts will be around 45-50 MPH with isolated top gusts over 60 MPH. Visibility may be reduced in blowing dust and sand in the deserts. Gusty west winds and rough seas for the outer coastal waters, will create hazardous conditions for small craft. Showers and winds will gradually diminish Thursday. Please click to enlarge image.
