New guidelines for cancer screenings have been issued for the most common cancer affecting women in the U.S. One in 8 American women will be diagnosed the breast cancer in her lifetime. Now the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force is urging earlier screenings with a new recommendation: all women at average risk of breast cancer start screening every other year starting at age 40.
