A week after the deadly Monterey Park massacre killed 11 people and wounded nine others, a community continues honoring and remembering the victims with vigils and memorials.
The mass shooting has sparked conversations over stronger gun safety measures to prevent future shootings.

Seven people were shot, at least three of them fatally, in the Beverly Crest neighborhood on Saturday morning.
The shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. at a short-term rental home in the 2700 block of Ellison Drive, north of Beverly Hills, said police.

Protestors gathered in Hollywood on Saturday night, calling for police reform after videos were released showing the violent arrest of 29-year-old Tyre Nichols.
The group of protestors were seen walking down the street near Hollywood Boulevard, eventually stopping at an intersection and blocking cars. Similar scenes of protests have played out across the country this weekend.

Protestors gathered in downtown Los Angeles and near the Los Angeles Police Department headquarters on Friday night following the release of videos showing the violent arrest of 29-year-old Tyre Nichols.
Nichols is a Memphis man who died three days after he was beaten by police in a traffic stop on Jan. 7.
Protestors are calling for police reform while local law enforcement agencies have condemned the officers’ actions.

Authorities pursued a vehicle in Los Angeles County on Friday night.
The driver was wanted for reckless driving, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Sky5 was overhead.

Police say a man has been arrested for allegedly trying to kidnap a girl who was walking home from middle school in Riverside County.
The victim, a 12-year-old girl, was walking home from Sunnymead Middle School when the attempted kidnapping took place. The incident has left parents shaken and concerned for their children's safety.
