Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department were in pursuit of a driver in a stolen pickup truck Thursday night until units with the California Highway Patrol took the chase over.

The suspect was leading police in chase on the 60 Freeway from Lorena shortly after the pursuit was initiated at around 6 p.m.

While blacking the vehicle’s headlights at certain points, the suspect also weaved through moderate to heavy traffic on the shoulder of several SoCal freeways before exiting to surface streets in Monrovia.
