After 65 years of recording major hits by some of music's biggest artists, United Recording announced it will shut its doors to the public. The iconic Sunset Blvd. studios have been home to artists like Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Lizzo, Kendrick Lamar and Paul McCartney. Owners Hudson Pacific Properties say they will instead keep the studios for film and TV shoots. Also, making a $100,000 salary in Los Angeles might really be more like making $44,000 per year.

At least 11 people were injured when a fire erupted in a large Los Angeles apartment complex. The Fire Department says the fire in the Panorama City area was reported around 7:30 a.m. Monday and about 100 firefighters extinguished the flames in under an hour.
